General Policy
All donations made to VIKSAT are voluntary contributions to support our charitable programs. As a general rule, donations are non-refundable once processed, as funds are promptly deployed toward our ongoing charitable activities.
Eligible Refund Scenarios
We will process a refund in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate payment: If you have been charged more than once for the same donation due to a technical error
- Unauthorized transaction: If a donation was made without your knowledge or consent (please report immediately)
- Technical failure: If your payment was debited but the transaction did not complete and no receipt was issued
- Incorrect amount: If a significantly different amount was charged than what you intended to donate due to a system error
Refund Process
To request a refund:
- Contact us at info@viksat.org within 7 days of the transaction
- Provide your full name, email address, transaction ID, amount, and date of donation
- Briefly describe the reason for the refund request
Our team will review your request within 3–5 working days and respond accordingly.
Refund Timeline
Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method:
- Credit/Debit cards: 5–10 working days
- Net banking: 3–7 working days
- UPI: 2–5 working days
Timelines may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
80G Tax Exemption
If a refund is processed for a donation for which an 80G certificate was issued, the certificate will be cancelled and you will be notified. Please ensure you do not claim the deduction for the refunded amount in your income tax return.
Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will not be issued for:
- Change of mind after a successful donation
- Requests made more than 7 days after the transaction date
- Donations where tax benefits have already been availed
