Sabar AART Farmer Enterprise (SAFE) Producer Company Ltd. was established in 2015 with the assistance of VIKSAT in Kheroj village, Khedbrahma Block, Sabarkantha District, Gujarat. The FPO is registered under the Company Act of 2013, and it is made up of 3463 tribal women farmers. 

The mission of the company is to make producer and consumer life safe and happy. 

Position: Procurement Assistant

Education Qualification: A bachelor's degree along with three years of relevant work experience in APMC, procurement, seed production through contract farming, or a related field. 

Responsibilities

• Regularly visit farms and farmers to establish and maintain relationships.
• Develop and implement strategies to procure agricultural produce (e.g., pulses, spices, groundnut, vegetable, wheat, maize, cotton, castor, seed production etc.) at competitive prices.
• Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Conduct thorough inspections of farm produce for quality, ensuring that they meet required standards.
• Oversee the sorting and grading of agricultural products based on quality specifications.
• Work closely with the FPO Manager to ensure that all procured produce meets safety and quality standards.
• Maintain stock and coordinate with the FPO Manager to ensure adequate storage of procured produce.
• Implement and maintain proper storage practices to minimize spoilage and waste.
• Manage the movement of goods from farms to warehouses and processing plants.
• Provide regular updates to the FPO Manager regarding procurement activities, inventory levels, and any challenges faced in the supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations related to procurement and quality control.
• Monitor procurement expenses and ensure that purchasing is within budgetary guidelines.
• Continuously seek cost-effective procurement solutions without compromising product quality.
• Train and mentor entrepreneurs and ensure the team is up to date with best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Salary: Consolidated salaries depending on qualification, relevant experience and considering equity within the organization.

• Organize and facilitate monthly Board of Directors (BOD) meetings and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
• Oversee the processing of pulses and spices to maintain high quality standards.
• Increase the shareholder base and manage the issuance of share certificates to new shareholders.
• Effectively market agricultural input products to expand the FPO’s reach and revenue.
• Organize training programs and capacity-building initiatives for the BOD and shareholders.
• Perform data entry and manage FPC-related information within relevant applications.
• Plan, implement, and monitor seed production programs to meet FPOs targets.
• Track and monitor FPC activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Work closely with the accountant to maintain accurate and timely financial records.
• Prepare detailed qualitative and quantitative reports on FPO activities and performance.
• Conduct regular stock verification and ensure timely updating of stock registers.
• Maintain an up-to-date asset register to track FPO assets effectively.
• Ensure compliance with RoC, Income Tax regulations, and coordinate with the Chartered Accountant (CA).

Salary:The selected candidate will receive a monthly consolidated salary ranging from 25,000 to 35,000, based on qualifications and relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

The person will be required to work in a team as well as independently handle responsibilities, which include:

•    Raise funds and nurture partnerships for the organization

•    Identify and reach out to potential supporters, donors, CSR, trusts, foundations 

•    Sustain and grow income from donors in line with agreed targets

•    Ensure high-quality ongoing communication with potential and existing donors

•    Respond to donors’ requests and keep them updated about the activities

•    Generate high-quality proposals, EOIs, RFPs, and award applications

•    Ensure reporting and due diligence as per donor requirements

•    Liaise with project teams to collect and collate information for donor reports

•    Prepare and manage donor database and donor management system

Qualification: Post-graduate in management, communication or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience.
